Attorney David M. Serafin holds both a law degree and a Master’s Degree in Taxation providing him a unique advantage over other attorneys with respect to any bankruptcy, tax or estate planning issues. We represent individual and small business clients and will aggressively negotiate and, if necessary, litigate in court to serve our client’s best interests.

Our bankruptcy practice covers the following aspects of representation: chapter 7 bankruptcy, chapter 12 bankruptcy, chapter 13 bankruptcy, foreclosure and repossession defense – including defending against Relief from Automatic Stay proceedings, utilizing Colorado state property exemptions for asset protection purposes, and filing bankruptcy for small business owners. Additionally, we represent numerous clients with tax debt within the context of bankruptcy – these clients can typically either discharge the tax debt is full or, at the least, pay back the taxes interest and penalty free over a three to five year re-payment plan. If bankruptcy is not the best option to address a tax debt, an Offer in Compromise, Innocent Spouse Relief petition or IRS Installment Agreement may be appropriate.
